Kick off Stream
Join us on Monday, November 17 on /Twitch for the official Together for Good livestream featuring Elphaba and Glinda streamer makeovers, trivia, games, music, and more.
How Do I Get Involved As a Streamer?
For streamers interested in hosting a charity stream:
- Choose a nonprofit organization to support by using Twitch’s charity tool or Tiltify
- Let your community know about the event. (Use #TwitchTogetherforGood on social to promote)
- Stream with the tag #TogetherForGood in your stream title or tags to get featured on the Together for Good Shelf, which will be live from 11/17-12/2. This will increase your visibility to potential viewers which in turn can increase the amount you’ll raise.
- Try out Crowd Control, a tool that lets Chat impact in-game activity through donations.
How can viewers participate?
There are so many ways to get involved this year! Check out the Together for Good Shelf to tune in and donate to a wide variety of charity streams. Your donation and participation in these streams can unlock tons of Wickedly cool badges, emotes, and more.

FAQ
When will I receive my badge?
Badges will be delivered to viewers who donate at least $5 USD (or currency equivalent) to any stream via the Twitch Charity tool from 11/17-12/2 United States Pacific Standard Time (PST). Donations via tools that are not Twitch Charity will not be eligible for badges. Additional badges can be earned if a donor donates cumulative amounts of $50 and $100 cumulatively across all streams using the Twitch charity tool. Please allow for at least 1 week for your badge to be awarded. Badges will not be awarded on the weekend or from 11/27-11/30 PST. For information on how to see if you have received your badge and how to apply it, please click here. If 1 week has elapsed and you have not received your badge, please contact Twitch Support.
How do the shelf and collection page work?
The shelf uses an algorithm that shows viewers what they are most likely to click on based on their previous viewership. These appearances are not scheduled, so your channel may rotate in and out of this section at random any time you are live!
How do I check if I’m featured on the shelf?
You won’t be able to see yourself on the Recommendation Shelf whilst live, however you can check if you have been promoted on the Recommendation Shelf on Creator Dashboard > Analytics > Discovery > Views from Twitch > Homepage Recommendations and check Views + Impressions.
Guidelines + Safety For Streamers
Before you go live, make sure to tag your stream with “TogetherForGood” to be included in the recommendation shelf! You can find more information on stream tags here.
Being on the front page shelf might mean you experience more traffic than usual in your streams. To keep yourself and your community safe in the instance of an influx of new viewers, we recommend the following safety settings:
- AutoMod set to Level 2
- Email and phone chat verification turned on
- Followers only mode for at least 10 minutes
- Shield Mode setup (activate only when needed)
Please review your Content Classification Labels to disclose the content you’re streaming. You can find this setting in your “Edit Stream Info” page. You will still appear on the Recommendation Shelf - however remember, there are some categories and content we do not show on the Recommendation Shelf such as Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches & Gambling.
Check out the Twitch Safety Center to learn more about how to keep your stream safe through community guidelines, reporting, moderation, and other information you may be interested in.
