Celebrating 15 Years of Minecraft on Twitch
This year marks the 15th anniversary of a video game that literally created a whole new world for gaming – Minecraft. Twitch has always been the place where Minecraft communities come to escape the real world and build virtual worlds together. So what better place to celebrate Minecraft’s anniversary than right here on Twitch? It’s time to round up your tools, set up your crafting tables and get ready to create with the entire Minecraft community. Here’s how you can celebrate this milestone moment with your favorite Minecraft streamers on Twitch:
- A Minecraft Shelf will be added to the Twitch homepage on 5/15.
- /Minecraft will be co-streaming with some of your favorite Minecraft creators all month long.
- Starting on 5/15, support your favorite Minecraft creators on Twitch (all Twitch Partners and Affiliates are eligible to broadcast) and earn the exclusive Glitch Mask and Purple Heart Cape in-game rewards.
- We’ll also be ending the month with a bang. Watch any tagged Minecraft stream from 5/25-5/31 for five minutes to earn an exclusive Minecraft emote, and use it in chat from 5/28-5/31 to receive an exclusive badge.
So join us starting 5/15, and let’s build the biggest Minecraft party ever, together.
