Meet the Cosplay Contest Finalists
No way, is it the moment you’ve all been waiting for? This year’s finalists for San Diego’s official Cosplay Contest are finally here.
Competing in our four categories, we have:
- Armour: feipaints, MagicMarkerStudio, Rainboba13, saelinna, ThaBlackBobRoss
- FX: AlexFlame808, JemKadetchy, PerlerTricks, zaklabs
- Larger Than Life:doodlelou,GinozaCostuming,theronincosplay
- Needlework:AbraCatrena, JammyJamKK, KatherineEverything,mothchildcc, mr_Magnet41
But wait, there’s one more. You might remember that the winner from the Cosplay Contest in Amsterdam not only took home the crown but also won a trip to compete as a finalist in San Diego. Joining the line up above and competing in the Larger than Life category is VilinaCosplay.
Congratulations to all of our outstanding contestants–we can’t wait to see what you’ll bring in October!
But wait, who will judge your prodigious props and your superlative stitching? We’re honored to announce that we are bringing back an all-star lineup of past TwitchCon Cosplay Winners including AndyRaeCosplay, caseyreneecosplay, HokuProps, and KikiKannon who will add their extensive expertise to our judging panel and help us crown the Grand Prize Winner!
And finally, we’re excited to tell you that JaharaJayde will serve as the host for this edition of the Cosplay Contest.
So when will it all go down? The Cosplay Contest is set for Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 4:30pm - 6:00pm PT LIVE on the Glitch Stage. Winners in the Needlework, Armor, FX, Larger than Life, and Fan Favorite categories will all go home with $4,000 USD cash prizes, and the overall champion will win the $15,000 USD grand prize.
In case that wasn’t enough Cosplay, we’re excited to announce that the San Diego Cosplay Contest will be presented by the Crown Channel. Join the Crown Channel for 5 weeks of Crown Cosplay leading up to the official Cosplay Contest at TwitchCon. The Crown Channel will follow contestants as they work through timed challenges to craft their cosplay creations. Tune in every Friday and be sure to catch the final episode of Crown Cosplay that will air live – on location - as the official pre-show to the TwitchCon Cosplay Contest with the Crown Cosplay winner announced on the Glitch main stage.
