Animal Week Is Very Good, Yes It Is
Wherever you go, there they are. Playing, sitting, smelling, napping, squirming, squealing, swimming, inhabiting uninhibited joy, sloth, or mania — whatever animals are doing, they’re extremely good. They’re so good, in fact, that they’ve weaseled into Twitch in a big way. And it’s time we showed our animal friends some love as a community.
But first, look at this:
Historically, animal streams run across a variety of categories: ASMR, Travel & Outdoors, Just Chatting, Science & Technology, Music and Pools, and Hot Tubs & Beaches. The time has come to give our animal friends, and the people who — literally — love to see them, a good home. That’s correct, we’re launching an Animal category to kick off Animal Week on Twitch.
Introducing: Animals, Aquariums, and Zoos
Dedicating a space to our wonderful companions isn’t just a morale booster — it’s an exciting way to elevate the importance of environmental and conservation issues facing these critters of varying sizes and origin. We’re working with zoos, aquariums, and animal non-profits to elevate the animals, their conservation, and the restoration and conservation of the environment they need to thrive. Obviously, there are the many Very Good animal friends we love to watch, but this category takes advantage of being live as well. Some of our favorites incorporate wonderful Twitch-y elements allowing you to interact with your friends.
Want to feed the ducks? Head to /DashDucks to enjoy feathered friends in their natural habitat and feed them by using Bits.
Want to vibe with turtles? Of course you do. /TurtlesAndChill promises exactly that with the ability to cater the vibe by adjusting the lights or changing the song.
Unlock Animal Hype Train Emotes
Can you imagine launching an adorable category without equally adorable emotes? That’d be otterly ridiculous.
Ready up those Bits and Subs because, starting today, these Hype Train emotes will be available to unlock across all channels. Ducks, dogs, cats, hippos, owls — all of our favs expressing the range of emotions Twitch makes us feel.

Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary - bring some tranquillity to the Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary, a charity helping endangered British Wild Hedgehogs in need.
