Announcing the Twitch Creative Cosplay Contest

Since Twitch Creative was launched, cosplay has been one of the most popular and enduring categories for streamers. Now, we’re planning something big for the community.

Announcing the Twitch Creative Cosplay Contest leading up to TwitchCon 2016! As far as cosplay competitions go, they don’t get much bigger than this. Like, a $63,000 prize pool and trip to TwitchCon that anyone can compete for, big. How does it all work? We’re glad you asked…

To enter, simply stream, archive and tag (#CosplayContest) a minimum of 15 hours of content via Twitch Creative by August 22, 2016. With help from the community, twenty finalists will then be selected and given tickets to TwitchCon 2016, money to pay for hotels and flights, and a firm handshake. Those finalists will then compete for the chance to win the grand prize of $15,000 and a trophy designed by professional propmaker VolpinProps. Runners up will also be competing for cash prizes and VolpinProps medals. Wanna see what the medals and trophies are like? Tune into twitch.tv/volpinprops, every Wednesday at 11:00am PT starting on June 29th.

The final judging will go down live at TwitchCon 2016 from the Kappa Theatre on October 1, 2016 and streamed on Twitch. Attending the show and taking part in select phases of the judging process are popular cosplayers Yaya Han and Commander Holly, and streaming personality GiantWaffle, among others to be announced.
