Support your favorite broadcasters on the go with Android mobile subscriptions

You asked for it and now you’re going to get it; our Android mobile app has been updated to give users the ability to subscribe to their favorite Twitch partners on the go!

Mobile viewing is quickly becoming one of the best ways to enjoy Twitch both in and out of the house. With that in mind, we wanted to make sure our next Android release moved even closer to our web experience. Here’s the full breakdown of the features you can expect:

  • Subscribe to a partner for the first time.

  • Resubscribe and announce your anniversary to the chat.

  • Manage your current subscriptions.

It works just like subscribing via the website, and follows the same Xsolla payment flow. There are no additional fees or steps either! Users will be able to announce their resubs just like they would on web, and take advantage of all the subscriber perks in the channel (sub only chat, emotes, etc.) Additionally, Android users will be able to manage their subscriptions by tapping the “Subscriptions” menu option.

We are rolling this feature out gradually to make sure everything functions as anticipated. If you don’t have the ability to subscribe on your Android device yet don’t sweat it; as soon as you’re flagged you’ll automatically see it!

To download our app, visit the Amazon or Google Play App stores today. Have questions about the update? Read our FAQ here!
