Top Games for September 2015 — Destiny, MGSV, Super Mario Maker, Poker

In a flip flop for the first time since June, Hearthstone brawled back into 3rd ahead of Dota 2. Must have been that epic stoic battle for bragging rights between Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime and Twitch CEO Emmett Shear. Emmett with the meta play. He’s bringing bow ties back.

September saw a healthy dose of AAA titles new or with new content shake up the ranks.

  • Destiny’s expansion, The Taken King, forcibly pushed the game into the highly coveted #5 slot behind the Usual 4.

  • The latest in the Metal Gear Solid series, MGSV: The Phantom Pain (almost reminds me of what that “first” Star Wars movie made me feel), stealthily debuted at #6.

  • Diablo III continued it’s leap up the ranks by bashing it’s way another 10 spots to #10. New content is good. (See: Destiny: The Taken King)

  • Super Mario Maker, debuting at #11, turned something old into gold, as many of you accepted the challenge of your friends’ inventive levels.

  • Fifa 16 relegated Fifa 15.

  • Mad Max grumbled “Hey” as it debuted at #19.

Not be left out of all the fun, Poker put together a nice run and flopped into the Top 20 at #16.

Marvel in the splendor that is this ordered list.
