Steam Connect Extends to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Coming off the success of our Dota 2 integration, allowing Twitch viewers to earn in-game item drops for watching ticketed events, Valve has extended this awesome service to their hit online shooter, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Your first chance to earn CS:GO drops on Twitch is coming in just a few weeks at DreamHack Winter 2013.

To become eligible for CS:GO item drops, sign in to your Twitch account and visit your settings/connections page to link Twitch to your Steam account. Then, tune in to the 2013 DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship for your chance to receive keyless DreamHack Winter 2013 Souvenir Packages. Even better: you’ll also be eligible to earn these drops on the go by tuning in with the Twitch mobile app for iOS.

For CS:GO broadcasters, linking your Twitch account to Steam is a great way to generate more viewers for your channel, as highly spectated matches will be featured in-game under the “Watch” menu of CS:GO.
