Prefixes Coming Soon to Subscription Emoticons

If you subscribe to a channel that has a custom set of emoticons, then this information is for you. We’re currently working with our Partnered broadcasters to supply them with some great new tools that will allow them to take total control over custom emoticon management.

Part of this process is instituting a custom prefix to these emoticons, which will enable each partner to have any emoticon code they want, regardless of whether or not it’s being used by another partner. This makes it so no one partner can camp extremely common words or expressions, and so partners don’t have to come up with overly long or complicated codes to simply emote something such as “GG.”

We’re looking to switch Partners over to prefixes by the end of this week, so be sure to check in with your favorite broadcasters to see what their emoticon prefix is. Thanks!
