CosmoWright Sets New Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker World Record

Congratulations are in order as CosmoWright, co-founder of the SpeedRunsLive gaming community, set a new world record of 4:37:24 for fastest completion of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. More than 18,000 gamers of the Twitch community witnessed this accomplishment as Cosmo glided Link through walls, floated his dead body over obstacles and generally tore a hole through the fabric of the game to achieve the new record.

The significance of this impressive run was felt throughout the site. Not only were Twitch staff caught delaying their meetings to see whether or not Cosmo could topple the previous world record, but The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker could be seen climbing its way to the top of the charts as one of the most popular games on Twitch, almost entirely due to Cosmo’s channel. In the end, only League of Legends stood in its way.
