Twitch is coming to EA Origin

Twitch is dedicated to making broadcasting games as easy as possible. One of the ways that we do that is by partnering with game developers and publishers to integrate Twitch functionality directly into their games and services. You may have heard about some of our previous announcements with Paradox Interactive’s The Showdown Effect and Sony Online Entertainment’s Planetside 2.

Today, we’re excited to announce our latest partnership — EA Origin.

EA has just announced a beta version that includes Twitch broadcasting. With just a few clicks, you can broadcast your game session, from Origin, directly to your Twitch account. All you’ll need to do is sign into your Twitch account while you’re in Origin and you’re ready to broadcast. The beta version is available to a select group of opt-in beta users, with wider availability in the coming weeks.

In addition to this partnership, the team at Origin has cooked up a great new feature that goes hand-in-hand with the Twitch integration. You’ll soon have the ability to add games purchased outside of Origin to your My Games library, allowing you to both play and broadcast all of your games directly from Origin.

By lowering the barrier to broadcasting, we’re empowering more and more gamers to get a taste of what it feels like to share their gameplay and experiences with a worldwide audience, including friends and family, and continue to become a more essential part of our great community.

We hope you take Origin for a spin and please feel free to share your thoughts with us here at Twitch, as well as with the Origin team. For more information on this major update coming to Origin, please visit their official blog.
