Be the invisible hand of fate…or maybe just mess with your favorite Twitch broadcasters as they work their way through the new Rise of the Tomb Raider. Together with Crystal Dynamics and Xbox, we’re adding two interactive features to this Xbox One title, which launched today.
If you’re a broadcaster, select Expedition Mode to give viewers the ability to impact your game play through voting. At various points of the game, viewers can choose between one of two Expedition cards — the card with the most votes will be activated for five minutes. This can cause the game play to become more challenging, a little easier, or unpredictably wild!
Voting is cool and all, but getting rewarded for watching your favorite broadcasters play the game is even better. Viewers that watch Rise of the Tomb Raider broadcasts via the Twitch Xbox One app will be rewarded with gifts. These gifts are unlocked when certain events occur in the game like:
- Side Missions
- Challenge Tombs
- Specific Achievements
Once a gift is received, it can be redeemed within the Gift section of the Rise of the Tomb Raider in-game marketplace. Gifts are only redeemable within 30 days of each event that granted them so be sure to claim them as fast as you can. For these rewards to work, broadcasters will need to be streaming through the Xbox One Twitch App.
